1. Acceptance
By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of a trust, an estate, a company, or another person, you confirm you are authorized to do so and to bind them to these terms.
2. What this site is
This site provides educational information about insuring fine art, jewelry, wine, coins, stamps, and other personal collections, a premium estimator, and an online tool that prepares and electronically signs a carrier application. It does not provide legal, tax, financial, appraisal, or personalized insurance advice, and nothing on it is an offer of insurance. Coverage descriptions on this site are general summaries. Only the policy a carrier issues states what is actually covered; if this site and a policy disagree, the policy governs.
3. Indications are not quotes, and submissions are not coverage
The pricing indication shown as you complete the form is a modeled estimate based on typical specialist-market rates. It is not a quote, a binder, an offer to insure, or a guarantee of coverage, price, or eligibility. A carrier price exists only when a carrier returns one, and coverage is bound only when a carrier issues it and confirms so in writing.
Submitting the application through this site does not bind coverage. A completed, signed application is a request for coverage, not coverage itself. No page, email, confirmation screen, or reference number produced by this site is a policy, a binder, a quote, or an offer to insure. Carrier eligibility, appetite, pricing, availability, and placement are determined case by case and are never guaranteed. Do not cancel or allow any existing policy to lapse until replacement coverage is confirmed in writing.
4. Our broker relationship and how we are paid
We act as an independent insurance broker. We are not a carrier, we do not underwrite, and we are not affiliated with Markel, Chubb, AIG, PURE, or any other carrier named on this site. We shop the specialist market and present the options we obtain; we do not represent that we access every carrier or that any option we present is the lowest price available anywhere.
On standard placements the carrier pays our commission and there is no separate broker fee. Any fee that would apply is disclosed to you in writing before you commit, as California law requires. If a placement requires a non-admitted (surplus lines) market, it is placed through a licensed surplus line broker — this agency does not hold surplus line authority itself, and separate surplus lines disclosures and taxes may apply and will be given to you before you bind.
5. Electronic transactions and electronic signature
Where you choose to sign your application electronically, you consent to transact electronically under the federal ESIGN Act and California’s Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. Before you sign, you are asked to confirm your intent to be bound and you are told of your right to a paper copy and your right to withdraw consent before submission by emailing reviews@bollinsure.com.
When you sign, we create and keep an audit record — your typed or drawn signature, your printed name, title, email address and telephone number, the exact consent text and version, the timestamp, your browser and device string, and cryptographic hashes of your email address, your IP address, the submission, and the signature. That record is appended to the signed PDF and emailed to you, so you can read every one of those items yourself; our privacy policy itemizes the page. You agree that an electronic signature made this way has the same legal effect as a handwritten one to the fullest extent applicable law allows. You may instead ask us to prepare your application from your answers without an electronic signature.
To view and keep the signed PDF you need a device with a current browser, an email address you can access, and a PDF reader. Tell us at the address above if that changes.
6. Calls, texts, and how to stop them
Giving us your telephone number so we can work your application is not the same as authorizing marketing calls or texts. The application asks separately, in its own checkbox, whether you want to authorize calls and texts to the number you gave — including autodialed and prerecorded or artificial-voice calls where applicable.
That checkbox is optional and is never pre-checked. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services, and your application is submitted and worked the same way whether you check it or not. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can withdraw consent at any time and by any reasonable means: reply STOP to any text, tell the person you are speaking to, email reviews@bollinsure.com, or call 562-COVWELL. We honor a revocation promptly and in no event later than ten business days after we receive it, and we treat a revocation for one channel as covering all marketing calls and texts unless you tell us otherwise. Reply HELP to any text for help. Withdrawing consent does not stop the transactional messages we must send about an application you have already submitted, and it does not affect your coverage or how we work your file. We maintain an internal do-not-call list and honor requests to be added to it.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information, and to use the site only for your own insurance needs or those of someone you are authorized to act for. Insurance applications rely on the truthfulness of your answers: material misstatements or omissions can affect eligibility, premium, or a future claim, and can give a carrier grounds to rescind a policy. Values you enter should reflect a considered estimate of replacement or appraised value, not a guess.
8. Carrier names, ratings, and third-party content
Carrier names, logos, program names, and AM Best ratings appear on this site for identification and comparison only. They are the property of their owners, their appearance does not imply endorsement or partnership, and ratings are as of the date published and are subject to change. We link to third-party sites for convenience; we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
9. Acceptable use
Do not submit false information or another person’s information without their authority, attempt to defeat the rate limiting or other security controls on the submission endpoint, scrape or bulk-download the site, introduce malicious code, or use the site to violate any law. We may decline, suspend, or remove any submission and may limit access to the site to protect it.
10. Intellectual property
The content, design, copy, and code of this site are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied, republished, or reused without permission. The carrier application forms reproduced through the tool are the property of the issuing carrier and are used to prepare your submission to that carrier.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what this site collects, what measurement runs on it, who receives your information, how long it is kept, and your California privacy rights, including the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information opt-out and our notice of insurance information practices under Insurance Code § 791. It is incorporated into these terms.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that an indication will match any carrier’s price, or that any market will offer you terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing in them limits or alters the duties an insurance broker owes you under California law or the coverage a carrier owes under a policy it issues.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from information you submit that is false or that you were not authorized to submit, or from your use of the site in breach of these terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts serving Los Angeles County, California have jurisdiction, and you and we consent to venue there. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the updated terms. A change does not alter the terms that applied to an application you already submitted.
